Become an opinionated woman
PHOTOGRAPHY BY JELLY LUISE
The world always seems to find a way not to have room for a woman with an opinion. Throughout much of history, society has denied us, women, the right to read, write, walk, and speak our minds. Many have faced institutionalization, incarceration, exile, violence, and even death for challenging laws, policies, and societal norms that insist on keeping a woman "in her place."
A woman's rightful place is not assigned; it is where she creates it. Her place is where truth must be spoken, power must be named, and where she chooses to stand and speak. It is a place deep in the forest, with a grove at the end. It is a place where stories of roots and liberation can grow. It empowers women to tell their truths, write their history, and cement their place in the fire.
Today, we are opening a place for intersectional women where thought, identity, and truth converge. Where being outspoken is protected and encouraged, it is time we chronicle our truth. We chronicle conflicts, contradictions, struggles, and everything else within the framework of intersectional womanhood. We critically examine everyday realism and complex situations while honoring the fullness of our identities.
For our liberation, we publish editorials, declarations, and essays that speak with urgency, precision, and lived authority. These pieces confront power, claim experience, and name what others refuse to. Some are deeply personal, while others are political. We select articles for their clarity, conviction, and cultural weight.
Here is where we speak about what needs to be said. Tell the world your stories.
